This is the approach favoured by Arcaware as it produces a much simpler system to follow.
To use the system, the arc energy levels on all of the boards must be similar, although a split could be used for High Voltage and Low Voltage boards.
The highest arc energy level is then used for the assessment of the different tasks that are carried out on the different boards.
This means that staff would wear the same PPE for a task, irrespective of where the task is carried out or on what equipment. This reduces confusion over what PPE is required when working on equipment.
The main disadvantage is that staff could be wearing PPE that is over rated for the task they are doing. As long as the PPE is not to onerous or obstructs the wearer form their work, this shouldn't be to big an issue.
